Bored. Really.

Friends!
And my interest in WoW has gone down. Again. It seems to do this. Actually, I do this with everything. I go from being addicted to WoW to being bored by it and quitting, to eventually starting and playing it again. lulwhut I know but *shrug* I've been kinda nostalgic lately for the old WoW. The 40-mans and such. I remember the first time I got an epic. For the life of me I can't remember what tier piece it was - something in t1 for sure but, lol, I forget. And I was even healing back then...and badly...as mostly feral...omg I was so fail. But it was still the best time of my WoW memories.

Great. I just rambled way too long. Ah well. What else is this thing for? Blah-blah-er-ific.

So I've got at least two weeks before the police stop blocking access to half my neighborhood. The water has gone down but the levees apparently are still in danger of breaking. Seems they're having trouble with armadillos making holes. Bah. First they insist on running across the street when cars are coming, now they want to ruin the levees. Poor things prolly got flooded out, though. Guess I can understand. Bah >< I love living in flood zones. Hey hurricane, tropical storm whoever you are in the Gulf of Mexico right now, yeah, you stay away from Louisiana kay? We've had quite enough of your kind ><

I need to draw something again. Or write something. I haven't been keeping up with my creative side lately. Well. That's a lie. Music is in the creative arts too. Why do all my talents fit into the entertainment stuff? Like the...either you make it or you don't? Either you make it big or you need another job. Most of my talent is in music, though. But not pop music. Just. Piano, clarinet. Siiiiigh ~ Maybe I should go find a symphony or orchestra to play in. Classical music ftw! Wouldn't that be cool ;P

Maybe my friend Brian will actually compose some good music. He's starting small right now. Has a great melody as of now. With chords and whatnot set up on piano. Keeps asking me to play stuff for him so he can see if it sounds good on clarinet or if it would work better on a different instrument. Wish we knew someone who could play a string instrument for him. Hrm. I tried to compose something once. Didn't really work. I can hear something and mimic it - better on clarinet than piano but that's cause I've been doing it longer, well, more seriously. I mean, I listen to songs for church that have oboe parts (cause they so rarely have actual clarinet, usually violin or oboe), play it on my clarinet and then write it down on sheet music so I can show it to the director and play it. My mom is always like "holy crap that's amazing" and I'm like "uhm, it's not hard; i'm sure it's not that amazing" But w/e ~

There. My blah-blah-er-ific post of the week? Month? I dunno. I don't exactly have a regular schedule. For anything. Siiigh ~

Off the wall news: wtb w/e book comes after White Night in the Dresden files. I need to save for next semester college and can't go to a bookstore -- and I'm buying Dresden, not reading it at a library. 'Cause he's just that bad azz. >.> When Bryce was talking about maybe going to Chicago, I was all for it, next to him saying "Yeah we could go visit Dresden! Let's go!" hah lol. Srsly one of the most awesomest cos-players I saw at A-kon. Dresden, Michael, and Molly -- they were so full of win.

Rawr! I mean, hi >.>

So. I'm alive. Parts of my neighborhood (well, if you consider the neighborhoods in the area all one b/c they're all connected anyway) were flooded this past week. My part just happens to be in a high area - and although local authorities "strongly suggested" everyone re-locate for a while b/c the bayou and river are high -- (bayou on one side, river on another, lol i'm right between the two of them, lovely ~). But yea, we haven't moved. And neither has anyone in my direct area. Well. Maybe a few people. There is restricted access to my neighborhood (ie: only if your a resident) but the 'blockade' so to speak starts on my street. So. I'm like, right on the edge of the bad flood area.

Good news: the bayou stopped rising and is NOW no longer over the bridge. Still high, but hey - there's a road again ! Yeah. I went and looked at the site, so what. I helped make sandwich box lunches for the National Guard guys who are helping to put sandbags to help reinforce the levees or w/e.

Anyway, water's gone down. Not gonna rain til Sunday and it shouldn't be hard rain if it does. Here's to hoping, at least.

In other news, the new wheel of time book is out (i think). Only reason I care is 'cause Brandon Sanderson is the one taking over writing it. And I <3 his writing. Kinda funny that I found him out while googling "writing excuses" outta sheer boredom. Just so happens he's one of three guys running a podcast called, lol, Writing Excuses. So then I read Elantris and was like "hey, I found a new author cheers", then I went and got Mistborn and have my fiance' addicted (hopefully hehe). But, yeah. I'm gonna go read chapter one of "the Gathering Storm" and see what I think so far >.> Def. have to wait til paperback if I'm gonna buy tho.

Ugh. My typing and phrasing is just horrid right now. Prolly cause it's way too early and I couldn't sleep - yet again. Damnable 'flash flood' possiblities keeping me up at night. (Doesn't help that a couple months I had a dream about my neighborhood being flooded =/ Damnable real-life nightmares always having some eerie truth to them. This is why I prefer dreaming about my characters)

"Happiness is an inside job." I saw that on a school's board-thingy when driving home from work. It made me smile and chill. :)

Work this morning was: urgh.

Bryce was gone on deliveries for at least an hour. But we were also very busy for that hour. Then Brian came in and business stopped for just a few minutes. Well, then it was steady. Then Bryce came back and business went RAAAAAWWRR WESA HUNGRY AND GRUMPY PEOPLE RAAAAWR!

Ugh. Somewhere in the midst of all the frowning people, Default, his girlfriend, and Dalton came in. Lots of noise was in the store for a while. Then around 2pm people left. Things chilled to steady-pace and we all took turns taking customer orders for a few rounds before business could explode again.

During one of the down times, I managed to read a bit of the Bossier newspaper. Well. I read the opinion columns. Something Fleming (our representative) wrote put me in annoyed mode.

Apparently, Congress passed something to give $25 million to help protect an Iberian lynx - which is only found in Spain and Portugal. Okay. I'm all for protecting the wildlife and shiz, but WHAT THE HELL! $25 million to protect an animal that isn't even in our country, while Americans go homeless?

Yeah. That makes a lot of sense. Oh. And not only that, but another $25 million went to some crane - same situation. Oh, and of course Congress is always passing pay-raises for themselves. But that's old news. They're always doing that. Okay. Congress should not be allowed to set their wages. That's just. *palm-face*

Maybe I should move to Austrailia and sit down under and say "WTF mate" while America government destroys the country piece by piece. Oh. What are we gonna spend our money - that we don't have - on next? Some African plant? Some fish that can only be found in the Indian Ocean?

Oh wait. We do have money, right? As long as we have printing machines, we have money. LOLOLOLOLOL I am scared for my future. And I can't help but think of that one song...

Life was filled with guns and war,
And all of us, got trampled on the floor.
I wish we'd all been ready.

Children died. The days grew cold.
A piece of bread, could buy a bag of gold.
(this line has been popping into my head more and more recently)
I wish we'd all been ready.

There's no time to change your mind
The Son has come and you've been left behind.

Sigh. People. Stupidity. Will it ever end?

Will these guys see that raising taxes DOESN'T WORK. If my taxes were to be raised, I would get less of a pay check, and would save more money, spend less. Imagine lots of people in the same position. If no one is going to spend, then money is not getting circulated. You can't just grow (print) money and throw into the system - it doesn't work like that. If no one spends money, eventually, businesses go bankrupt, people go jobless, people can't pay anything. And yet we'd still hear: "RAISE TAXES! Tax the wealthy! They have so much money and they're not giving it up!" CONGRESS is the one VOTING FOR THEIR OWN DAMN PAY RAISES - using OUR MONEY! And they say WE'RE greedy?

-It makes one want to cuss and throw a fit; it really does-

Btw, so far our recession is just getting worse and worse. More and more people are joining the list of unemployed. Hey, Mr. Obama, when is your Stimulus package going to show results? Or is it already giving results, just not what you promised?

-grumble grumble-
